How Much Does It Cost To Have Extra Baggage in Indian Airlines?

If you have ever travelled by airways and panicked over the things you are allowed to take onto your tour after knowing the baggage allowances of different airlines. The latter would seem like a first world problem.

Not even kidding! Ten years ago, passengers travelling on international flight could expect to find two pieces of checked in baggage free of charge.

Unfortunately, they could take two pieces of luggage, but it can weigh up to 32 kg. So perhaps the golden age of luggage is over.

Airlines do care about your carry-on weight and even your weight. Many of them have restrictions on the weight of the cabin, as the airlines look and generally weigh the hand luggage and tag it as a carry-on bag.

Luggage shares its volume with cargo, which airliners are designed to carry. Over the past few years, freight has generally been more profitable than passenger traffic. The electronics and other expensive items cost more than the depreciation of the time; the shipping costs are of the sea and the land, the Air, creating a greater need for Air.

Currently, 6+ Scheduled airlines are operating in India as of 2021; Air India, Vistara, Spice Jet, Go first, IndiGo, and Air Asia, are to name some. For a detailed analysis of baggage allowances by 4 Distinct India airlines, keep on reading.
